once in a while I stop by our local 'Bibles for Missions' store and it was good thing that I did a few days ago because I found a few new treasures there to my delight.
Can you recall one of my past pincushions? ...
... this tulip one?!
I was very fortunate because ...
... I found another pewter tulip.
And I now know what it actually is ... a candle snuffer but not for long anymore.

And not only that but I also found a few more pewter treasures.
These two candle stands that have a pretty tulip design and ...
I have been keeping an eye out for this piece for a little while and now I have it ~ I am so happy!
'Ding, ding, ding' ... pincushion making season has just opened and that is such an enjoyable time and hing for me ~ I can't wait to get started working with these beauties.

I can't finish today's post without sharing a few pictures of our backyard that I took a few days ago, on Wednesday early in the morning. Big heavy snowflakes gently fell to the earth covering everything in a blanket of white beauty.
I am sure my heart skips a beat every time it looks like this outside ~ I just love it so much.
You can't even see my little bunny on the left of my Peter Pan it is so covered but that afternoon everything was melted.
I think this might have been the last of the snow until the Winter but then again here in Canada you never know really. Now the snow is all gone again and the ice has thawed on the pool cover, the next thing I am waiting for is for the ducks to arrive and swim in our pool like they do every Spring.
Do stop by when ever you might have a few moments spare and see what I have been up too.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.
Treasures indeed! Very nice posting.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow flurries yesterday but they didn't last. Of course, at home in the coast the only white flurries are the blossom petals falling from the trees.
Can't wait to see the new pincushions. These new treasures are so perfect for them.
ReplyDeleteYou find the prettiest things! I saw one candle snuffer on our last thrifting trip but it was definitely boring.
ReplyDeleteOh my I just know those pieces will become something beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love pewter. Can hardly wait to see the beautiful masterpieces you will create with these beauties. I also love when the snow sticks to the trees and bushes. Thank you for sharing. Love ya' Patricia B
ReplyDeletePewter makes my heart sing, too!
