Issues With Blogger ...

Hello my dear friends,

I am not sure if any of you have noticed but it seems that blogger is having some issues right now.

Photos are and have been disappearing from some of my posts.
Blogger is aware of this and working on it as I am writing this short note to all of you. (So I have read on their helpline.)  I will hopefully share something new with all of you in a few days, I just done want to loose more photos right now. I hope you understand.

I hope you are well and life is being kind to you my dear friends.

I also hope that you are all healthy and staying safe at home as much as possible.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Hugs.

All About Daffodils ...

Hello my dear friends,

I am trying to stay "craft happy" these days but I am unfortunately getting a tiny bit frustrated too because for some reason I am coming up with ideas that I don't have all of the supplies I need for. But it is what it is and maybe this is a good thing for me. I have boxes and drawers with so many bits and pieces in them and now I might finally get around using some of them instead of buying something new.

I am working on a few things this week and one of them is making small fabric daffodils.
It's all about trail and error when I try something new out and I so far have made two little flowers. The second one has already turned out better than the first one and I am sure the next one will be even more the way I would like it to be.

And this is what my first little spring flowers look like.

This is the first one I made ...

I really like the petals but the center just wasn't right in my eyes.

And this is the second one I made, already better ...

I am so going to work on these spring blooms until I get them just right.
Unfortunately I only have a few small pieces of wire left to use for them and once they are gone I will have to find something different or new to work on again. I have already made a list of what I need to buy once it is OK to head out and shop again and it is getting longer with every other project. I can wait to make long stemmed daffodils hopefully soon and find a way to showcase them really neat.

Because I love daffodils so much my daughter Ashleigh was the sweetest and gifted me and my other daughter a pot of them when it was still snowing outside.

They lived on our kitchen windowsill for weeks and weeks and made me smile every time I looked at them and I was amazed when they started to grow two or three flowers out of one stem. Now they are wilt and ready for planting outside and hopefully bloom next spring again.

The daffodils I had planted late last fall near the willow tree have now started to grow and are getting bigger. I had kept my fingers crossed over the winter, hoping at least a few of them would make it threw the cold and when I went to the bottom of our garden this morning, I saw more than I thought I would which made me so happy. I had planted several different types and I am excited to see them all bloom soon.

My miniature daffodils are actually slowly but surely starting to ...

... bloom!

And last but not least ...

I love, love, love it when the ducks are back swimming in our pool.
At times we either have 2 or 3 boys together or a boy and a girl visiting. It is so nice to know that they feel quite safe in our backyard, that they will actually lay down, put their heads under their wings and sleep.

And not only are the ducks back but ...

... the doves are too!

Doves have been coming to our garden for years now and in the last 3 or 4 years we have even had a baby each time the nested on our property. I am hoping that it will happen again this year.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit me here at Todolwen, it is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Stay at home, stay safe and stay healthy.
