Happy Spooking!

Hello my dear friends,

I just wanted to make sure I would wish you all a Happy Halloween before the day of spookiness ends.

This is my daughter Caylagh's pumpkin design this year, it turned out so great!

I myself am of course working on creations that have to do the a colder season and the most wonderful time of the year. Hopefully I will have something new to share with all you lovely blogger very soon again.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.

Have a spooky and ghoulish evening.

Christmas Time ..

Hello my dear friends,

today I would like to share my newest little making with you.

It is a bit more whimsical than I normally would choose it to be but never the less still so neat! I used another pocket watch casing and it isn't another pincushion but one of my newest Christmas makings of this year.

And this is it my newest Christmas creation which I have named ...

... 'Christmas Time'.

My little frozen man is almost done with decorating his snow covered tree and has only one star left to place at the top.

The little stars are embedded with sparkling Swarovski crystals and they are a favorite of mine.

I love the old and tarnished look of the watch casing ~ perfect in every way for this creation.

I am so happy with this little pocket watch creation .. more that I actually thought I would be at first and I hope you like it too my dear bloggers.

Thank you for stopping by today and it would be nice if you would do so again sometime.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

A Little Frozen Man ..

Hello my dear friends,

my girls and I decided one weekend to all sit down and create a little together and my daughter Ashleigh started to make herself a Christmas village from Dollar store ceramic houses which she had seen on Pinterest. She made a comment that how nice it would be if she had a little snowman to stand in her village. Of course that was my thing right away. My little pearl snow man would be ideal so I  gathered a few bits and pieces together and no sooner said then done and the frozen man was created.

Since he was meant to stand freely, I had to have something as a good base but I wasn't sure what to use for it. Then I remembered my tins full of pennies and two of them became perfect for the task.

The little jingle bell next to the penny will give you a 'small' idea how 'big' my snowman is.

And here he is, standing in a little mount of snow ...

... my little frozen man.

I gave this little one eyes this time, because that is how my daughter likes him the best and it does really look neat too.

This is not my last of these little frozen people that I have made so far.
If you have a few moments to spare tomorrow, why not stop by and visit me again. I will be sharing my newest Christmas creation here on Todolwen.

To make it a little more interesting, I will give you a little hint ... it has to do with a little cold guy this one and a pocket watch casing but that is all I am going to giveaway for now. So... maybe until tomorrow?!

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

The First Frost ..

Hello my dear friends,

recently we had our first frost one morning and there I was in sweat pants and flip-flops with my camera at 7 am in the cold outside trying to capture the beauty of the moment and that is what I would like to share with all you lovely bloggers today.

I think this is a tiny bit of cat fur from our neighborhood cat frozen and almost looking like a tiny snowball ... so pretty!

And this is from yesterday morning ...

I just get so buzzed when everything has a white lacy frozen trim and sugary coating and now all I am waiting for is the first snow to fall and we are meant to get a little of that maybe some time soon, so I better make sure my camera battery is charged at all times now so I can hopefully capture it.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me again here at Todolwen, it means so much to me.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Just In Time ... My Little Halloween Piece ..

Hello my dear friends,

apart from not being a Autumn person,  I am also not really a Halloween person. I loved Halloween as a young child and I loved to get dressed up all the time and not just for that one special night.

Here I am as a skater wearing my Aunt's ice skating outfit. I think I was just two in this photo.

After spending a lot of my childhood in Europe where Halloween wasn't known, I think I just lost the love for it and never found it again.

I have actually not once made a single creation since I have started blogging or even before that has to do with Halloween but I thought I might make something little this year. I had tried two years ago and I had actually started to created something for the spooky night of the year and that is how far I got ... I started and that is where it ended that time but that isn't where it was going to end this year.

I must say that I did had fun creating my first pumpkin so I thought it would be neat to create another one but this one a little more halloweeny and it has turned out exactly the way I wanted it too.

To 'Halloweenize'

... to give something or somebody a hint of darkness and ghoulishness and/or spookiness.
(that is my personal definition)
And here it is, my little piece of darkness ...

...  my 'Blackened Pumpkin'.

I had never know, how hard it can be to try and take photographs of something black but I hope you will still enjoy the ones I am sharing today.

Do you see my little spider hanging around?!

He is the little thing I had created two years ago.
I am not sure if you can tell but he is made from two different sized jingle bells that I had soldered together which I is something I had also had never tried before.

Now he lives on my little black pumpkin and is quite happy doing so.

A small piece form an old doily and some black dyed seam binding worked perfectly to give this creation it neat look.

I seem to have a thing for those twirly things that pumpkins have and that why any pumpkin I will ever make, is going to have them.

I think my little black pumpkin turned out quite nice even though it might not be so spooky after all.

I hope you have enjoyed my little Halloween piece today and I would love for you to visit me sometime again, it would be so nice.

I hope you are well me dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Colors Of The Season ..

Hello my dear friends,

today I would like to share a few photos I took over the past week or so of the season of fall and I hope you will enjoy them.

From beautiful sunny mornings ...

... and falling leaves and ...

... from pink shrubs to ...

... pink roses ~ color is everywhere ...

... even when it is foggy ...

... as the day begins and when the darkness arrives ...

... fall colors even make the night glow in a golden light.

And to my delight my feathered visitor came back again ...

... wanting more treats, ...

... which he or she enjoyed very much ...

... whilst this cute furry critter waited for his turn patiently.

I just love our backyard with all it critters so much and the season of Fall with all it glory and colors!

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
