Do You Remember This Creation? ...

Hello my dear friends,

I am not sure if many of you remember my "A Little Christmas Miracle" creation.

I made it in 2015 and it was and still is one of my favorite things I have made over the years.
It came to be after I had found some big pearls at Michaels and had made a snowman out of said pearls and it just went from there. Shortly later this lovely Christmas scene was done and I loved it.

For some reason I tend to find it hard to let go of some of the things I make, especially when it comes to Christmas creations. This lovely piece has been with my the last three Christmases and now I am ready to let it find a new home so it can bring some one as much joy as it has to me. It is a one of a kind piece and I will not be making it again.

And this is it! ...

If you wish to see of it or read a little more, here is the link to original post ...

A Little Christmas Miracle

This creation is now listed for sale in my Etsy shop and I am hoping to list a few more of my older creations over the next few days. Why not stop by and see what is looking for a new home.

Thank you for stopping by today, it is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day (dusted with a little snow).

My Favorite Ones ...

Hello my dear friends,

I just love making my little white felt mittens and today I am sharing my newest set of them which I think is my favorite one so far. They are just like my other ones, simple and delicate but there is just something about them. A little rustic, a little elegant and glittering and just so lovely in my eyes.

I used that ever so soft yarn I have, just like I did with my little stockings but in a different color. It is a delicate shade of brown that reminds me of the softest animal I have ever stroked. I combined it again with a few strands of  white yarn and it looks perfect together. Last but not least a little metal pine cone dusted with fine white glitter for each one and they were done and I am loving them.

My newest set of little white felt mittens are now available in my Etsy shop and this is what they look like ...

Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you have enjoyed my newest creation.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Little Hanging "Socks" ...

Hello my dear friends,

this last Sunday evening I made myself take the time to sit down and make little white felt stocking.
I used the same double felted white wool felt and the pattern from my Advent calendar tutorial for the stockings which was perfect. Now my newest creations are done, a set of four little hanging socks and I am buzzed to share them with all of you today!

When it came to embellishing my stockings I had "found" this beautiful and softest ever pale grey yarn in my yarn chest and just had to use it for this creation.

I wish you could feel just how soft this yarn is ... so so lovely!
I combined it with the neat white textured yarn from Europe and it was meant to be and I love the look of them together.

Of course something special was needed for these little white socks and that I found in one of my drawers in the shape of small ornate silver stars. I had purchased them several years ago for a different project that never came to be but now the have found the place they were meant to be.

And this is one of those little little white hanging socks ...

As with other creations of mine, diamond glitter seams to be a must for me at Christmas time. because I am in love with the "kissed by the frost" look so much.

Again the simplicity is what I love so much about my newest creation ... delicate, light and so lovely!
This set of my little white felt stockings are now listed for sale in my Etsy.

Right now I am busy making two new sets of mittens as I am writing this post. I am thinking of maybe using red and white with of of them but that is to been seen if it will actually happen. When it comes to using colors I am never sure if I will like it in the end. I guess again you and I will have to wait and see if it happens in the end. If it works, they will be here on Todolwen once they are finished. The other set will be made with the so very soft yarn that I used with my little hanging socks, just in a different beautiful color and I am excited to make them.

So ... if you have a spare moment or two, why not stop by some time again and see what I have been up too?!

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have peaceful and creative day.

More Little White Mittens ...

Hello my dear friends,

I didn't know how much fun it could be to make little white felt mittens but I soon discovered it these past days. I feel like making hundreds of them but I will control myself for now. I did make two more new sets though and that is what I am sharing with all of you today.

This is the second set of my little white mittens ...

... all decorated with bow made from lovely textured ice blue and white yarn. Glittered cuffs and a little silver jingle bell. So delicate and lovely in my eyes.

I am so liking the look of not too little and not too much but just right and I did the same with my third set of little white mittens too.

And here they are ...

They are again so delicate and so pretty.

Each one decorated with a little metal pine cone that has been kissed by the frost. Just like with the other two sets, the cuffs have been embellished with diamond glitter and for this set the final touch was a bow made from lovely textured white yarn.

I hope you have enjoyed my newest creations.
There might just be some more in the near future, I will have to see if I have time. I have decided to  work on a set of little white felted stockings over this weekend and I am buzzed to do so.

All three sets of my little white felt mittens are now listed for sale in my Etsy shop. Why not pop over and take a look?!

Thank you for taking the time to visit me today. It is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Little White Mittens ...

Hello my dear friends,

having just finished my two newest winter pumpkins, I just wanted to make neat things for the upcoming season and the more wonderful time of the year.

With the colder weather now here (it is snowing as I started to write this post yesterday) and being inside, all toasty and warm, it is the perfect time to be creative. My fingers just wanted to stay busy but what could I make? I thought for a bit and then came up with the solution. Why not make some ornaments?! I hadn't made any in the longest time and with Christmas is on it's way, what better than that?! I so love to hand sew things, so fabric or felt it was. All I had to do was think of what the design should be. Again more thinking. Hmm ... something very wintry and also Christmassy, not overloaded at all but what could that be? Then the answer was all of the sudden there and the answer was ... mittens! Mittens are all about wintertime and they can also look Christmassy too, so my mind was made up and I was excited to start on those little mittens all dressed up pretty and nice.

I had a basic pattern handy which is exactly what I wanted. I also had some of that wonderful white wool felt which I had bought at the beginning of this year in Michigan. Tucked away in a few of the boxes in my studio were all sorts of bits and pieces that would be just right for the pretty and nice part of this project. Sari silk ribbon, seam binding and some old fashioned tinsel garlands, baker's twine, little jingle bells, metal pine cones, pearls ... the possibilities were endless. Oh, I almost forgot ... glitter was a must. The look of glistening frost is so beyond right for this too! Basically anything would go in my eyes, just think of Christmas and winter and that is what I attempted!

Work started right away by washing and drying the wool felt. Once that was done I could start the creative part! I cut out several little mitten halves and enjoyed every minute sewing them by hand together. (I think, I might just to started quilting again to get my hand sewing fix.)

With the sewing and stuffing of the mittens done, I started the trail and error of how I wanted the mittens to be decorated. After a little while I got what I was looking for! Not too little and not too much but just right. My first set of four mittens is now finished and that is what I am sharing with all of you today. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed making them.

And these are my little white winter mittens ...

I am so happy with the way they have turned out!
A little touch of frost, a little bit of green and a small golden jingle bell living amongst some strands of white yarn and vintage looking clear garland ~ perfect! And just like I said, not too little but not too much. These wintry ornaments will be listed for sale in my Etsy shop very soon, hopefully with a few more newer and older creations of mine.

I am already working on some more sets of these little white felt ornaments and I am thinking of  maybe making a few little stocking ornaments like this too. I will see what happens next on my worktable. What ever that may be, I will for sure share with all of you again.

It was so nice of you to stop by and visit me here at Todolwen and it would be nice if you didn't in some time again.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

New Winter Pumpkins ...

Hello my dear friends,

I had so much fun creating my Winter pumpkins last year and I still love the idea of Winter pumpkins, that I just had to make one for this year too. (I actually made two.)

Just like last year, I made them in the colors white and off~white. This year's ones have a little vine growing on them, that is made from hand dyed seam binding in a lovely shade of green and three of my singed edge velvet pumpkin leaves are growing on the vine. The tendrils are made from that same shiny silver wire and of course a bow made from crinkled seam binding is also a part of the pumpkin, just like last year. The final touch this time is in the shape of three shiny jingle bells. All put together, a little Winter harmony in my eyes.

I am so happy to share them with all of you today ... my new Winter pumpkins!

Whether in off~white, which is so pretty or ...

... in white, both pumpkins look the perfect part for the Winter time and Christmas in my eyes.

I hope you have enjoyed my newest makings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

I will be listing these two Winter fruits in my Etsy shop this evening at around 8 pm ET if any of you should be interested. Why not pop over and take a look?!

We have just had our first snow here in Ontario and with the falling snow come a few new ideas for Christmas creations. Right now I am working on something little and I am just hoping that my idea will turn out they way I would like it too. Guess you and I will just have to wait and see. So when ever you have a few moments, why not stop by and see what I have been up too?!

Thank you for taking the time to strop by today here at Todolwen. It is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
