25 Cents Of Goodness ..

Hello my dear friends,

what can 25 cents buy you these days?
Not much really ... but I did! I bought 25 cents of goodness in the shape of crocheting thread which once used will be worth so much more but no speaking in money terms but instead of enjoyment.

I picked this yarn up in a local church store. It was in a large bag with other yarn for which I had no use for so one of the ladies was so sweet to sell it to me on it's own.

Isn't this just so pretty?! Now all I have to do is think of what can I create with it!
Create ... something I don't seem to have time for right now. I am so busy with other things these days and I could really do with a little time to steal myself away from my daily have to dos and create something but I think that will have to wait a little longer unfortunately. I am sure sooner or later  a little spare time will be there for creativity.
One thing that I will take time for is the upcoming 2 week long Church sale from the London Orchestra of the beginning of April ~ that is a must for me. I am already excited about this because of my many findings there in the past and of course I am hoping to find maybe one or two this time too. You never know what treasure I might bring home but that will be for a future post.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me here at Todolwen ~ it is so nice when you do.
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.
Karen B.

  1. That is pretty thread with the gradations of colour in it. You're so clever with your hands; I'm sure you'll think of just the right thing to make . . . when you have the time.

  2. Lovely thread! Can't wait for you to have time to put it to use,I am sure the result will be beautiful.Be blessed,Jen

  3. Yes Karen, I know exactly what you mean. You never know, what you will bring home.
Its like a "Wundertüte" grabbag for children.

    Greetings from Germany

  4. Oh so pretty and amazing how they are wound up on the spool. Blessings and smiles, Emilou :-)

  5. Love the color of that thread. You are SO lucky to have these great opportunities for treasure hunting!!! I'm green with envy!

  6. Wonderful thread find - I love using it for embroidery, especially for the more dimensional stitches. A 2 week long sale? Do the things for sale change every day?

  7. I can't wait to see what you make with that lovely spool, Karen. There are some instructions on Ravelry for some very pretty bookmarks using embroidery or crochet-weight thread. If you need the pattern, let me know!

  8. I'd say that was a jolly good buy. The subtle colours are beautiful.
