is seems that Olde Man Winter is still wanting to stay around for a little while longer.
Day before yesterday evening we were hit by a Winter storm and it looked like this late that night, at minus 24 C with the windchill factor. And yes, I do still have my Christmas lights on. They are just so lovely and I enjoy them so much too so I will leave them on a little longer.
It snowed and snowed and this is what it was like the next morning.
In places the snow was over 4 feet deep!
Later in the morning the sun came out ...
... and made everything covered in the white blanket of cold glisten in it's rays.
Apparently we are still not quite done with snow yet, there is more to come so the weatherman says.
I guess we will just have to wait and see. The nice thing about this weather is that I love staying inside and creating. I have just finished another new creation. So if you have a few spare moments, do pop back tomorrow to see what I have to share with you.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.
WOW - -24 chill factor!!! Your photos are beautiful - and I would still have my xmas lights on to if it was snowing - so pretty. The ones with the sun on them are beautiful - the snow really glistens. Keep warm and keep creating!!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are so pretty! And I think if we were at the cottage in France and had snow like that, I would be very happy. But not here in town in the UK, it gets dirty yucky horrid way too quickly. Fortunately, no sign of snow in town yet, just on the Firehills ( cliff top country park ).
ReplyDeletebrrrrr - I've had quite enough of winter I must admit (but truthfully I've had enough of winter the day after the first snowflake falls). Inside, looking out, is a wonderful thing! Especially when there's something creative to play with.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty..What beautiful snow pictures.. It always seems so peaceful during and after a snow.. Its on my list of "Favorite things." We plug ours in whenever we get snow, too.. I always enjoy your wonderful, inspiring creations!
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes.. xo

Well brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I don't miss it at all. No, that's a fib. I miss skiing but that's it. Give me the Texas Summer any day of the year.
ReplyDeleteBUT - the pictures are beautiful. Days like this do need to be spent indoors creating, which I know you will!
Hurry, Spring!

We had Christmas lights on our porch year around. It sure beat having a glaring overhead porch light. It was fun, too. We purchased various colored lights after Christmas and used them during the year. We usually combined two different colors. It was festive and a little kookie!
