I had been planning on sharing these little red fungi with white dots with you since some time but have always had something else to write about. These ones aren't poisonous though and they weren't found in a dark forest but at Michaels a few months ago and I couldn't walk past them without taking a few home with me.
Seeing them brought back memories from when I was a child, when we were living in Germany.
In December my Mom would buy an advent wreath which almost always be embellished with a few or more of these.
In the old days and even today in Germany it is believed that these mushrooms will bring you luck ... almost like a four leaf clover.

I can't wait to use a few of these in on of my Christmas creations this year, not sure how just yet but I am hopping I will come up with something neat sooner of later.
Right now I am still working on my newest tutorial on how to make my rainy day memory bottle and I am hoping to have it finally completed in the next few days. I still haven't finished my river bed and I am not too happy about that but I seem to have overworked my left arm (I feel on it a year ago when I feel down our staircase) and lifting heavy rocks right now is quite straining for me so. Maybe a little rest would be best before I head back to that project but knowing me thought, that might not happen.
But what ever I get up to I will be sure to share it with all you lovely bloggers again.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my today here at Todolwen.
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.

I remembered these, as well, from my childhood in Germany - at Four Wing, an air force base near Baden-Baden. When I lived near there, as an adult, I looked for them, and enjoyed decorating my own wreath - as I still do. I always have a stash of these wee Fliegenpilzen!
