Of Lavender And Daisies And Other Pretty Blooms ..

Hello my dear friends,

I just love my garden with all it's weeds, flowers and trees.

Unfortunately just like many of the other plants and trees my lavender took a knock from the cold last winter and only one out of four of our plants is doing well this summer. Also the daisies I had transplanted a few years ago from the front garden to the back never grew again which was sad. So you can imagine to my surprise when suddenly daisies started to grow all over the back yard this year and I have no idea how it happened.

Maybe seeds were carries by the wind or the birds last fall? ~ I am not sure. One daisy decided to grow right inside my largest lavender plant and it is such a lovely sight.

And if this isn't something so pretty together, I am sure these next photographs of what I have found two days ago will surprise you just like it did me.

Whilst weeding I thought I had spotted a white weed inside the lavender and daisies but I was wrong. What I actually found was  this...

... a single stem of white lavender that was growing amongst the rest of the purple blossoms.

Isn't this so beautiful?!
I took a photo each day for several days to make sure I wouldn't miss the opening of it's tiny white blossoms.

But that is not all that is blooming ...

This hosta decided it wanted to grow right next to my fence far away from all the others, all on it's own because I didn't plant it there but I am happy because it brightens that little gray area up so nicely.

This little white viola surprised me too when it all the sudden started growing between my stepping stones.

And this beautiful lily was a gift from my sweet neighbour Katherine. She didn't really take to the color combination so she gifted me with it and I love it!

It was so nice of you to stop by today again here at Todolwen and thank you for doing so.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  5. You have probably heard this saying: "The earth laughs in flowers." (I don't know who said it.) I think in your case, your flowers are having a laugh on you! Enjoy!
