So Generous ....

Hello my dear friends,

I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and that Santa was good to you too!

My family and I had a very quiet Christmas ~ it was just us four. Well, quiet up to a point of course because when my youngest daughter Caylagh opens her presents it is never quiet in the house.

We have a very neat tradition at Christmas. We hold back one present for our treasure hunt that takes place every Christmas day in the evening just when you think all the excitement is over. I make up clues that the girls have to solve to find their last gift. It is so much fun to watch the girls trying to figure out where they might find their next clue to get one step closer to their final present.

I am very happy because everything came together in the end. I made my last gift which was the microwave heating pillow. My Christmas dinner worked out very well and according to my hubby dinner was the best ever and during the entire dinner he kept telling me so which was about 30 times!! (I was very happy!)

And I have been spoilt ~ so spoilt again with beautiful gifts from my lovely family. They are all my favourites too so I can't just tell you about one and not the other.

This is a little 'putz house' is actually a Christmas tree ornament and it even lights up!

A precious rosary ~ just so beautiful!

A cute little trinket box with a little sparkely bee on it.

A vintage dollar coin from British Columbia.

An antique little crochet bag.

A stunning bronze of a kingfisher.

A new backpack from Roots and last but not least ...

... new winter boots so my toes stay warm when I shovel snow.

I received one more gift, which was a evening at the theater with my older daughter Ashleigh, but I will tell you more about that in my next post.

As you can see, my family is so generous to me at Christmas even though I tell them that I don't need or want anything apart from peace and harmony. A little gift is perfect but they spoil me every year.

You know ... just watching my girls open their presents and the smiles on their faces is a gift for me already and it is the best one of all.

My dear friends, I hope you are well and life is treating you very kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Karen B.
