Really Under The Weather

Hello my dear friends,

what a week this has been! I have been feeling really under the weather these past days now with a sort of flu and/or bad cold and so has my younger daughter. I have spent most of the week at home with no energy, not even any interest to do anything creative. I couldn't even get a thought together to post on my blog!

I did start to feel a bit better yesterday so I ventured out to a huge church sale that only happens twice a year. In the end I only spent $1 on one item and then left for home again.

This is what I bought for my $1.

It is a real rose that has been given a life forever. It is made by a company here in Canada and they have somehow managed to preserve this rose's beauty by dipping it into a type of resin I think. Isn't it just beautiful?!

I did get some nice news a few days ago. I won the "Mother's Day giveaway" from Tiffany's "The Cranky Queen" blog - yay!!

It is a beautiful decorated bottle and I am tickled pink - so to say - about it.

I hope you all are well these days and you are looking after yourselves.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Karen B.

  3. Hi Karen,
I'm sorry to hear that you and your daughter aren't feeling well. It sures seems like it is going around and around this year. And when it gets you-you don't want to do anything but lay around. Praying for healing for the both of you. And congratulations on winning Tiff's giveaway.
The rose is beautiful. I have something like that that I gave my step-mother years ago. They are amazing. She passed away so it came back to me and it is stored safely in my curio cabinet. When I look at it-it reminds me of her.
    Hugs,
    Sonya
