Of Pineapple And Posies ..

Hello my dear friends,

with the weather being so warm and very humid these past few days it was nice to stay inside where a fan kept me cool. After being busy moving a new couch set into our media room in the basement over the weekend I needed a day to sit and relax. I also used this time to make a new creation. Newly found treasures tend to grab me right away at times and then I just have to use them instead of using older pieces that I have had for a little while.

This time it was one of the Evans table lighter housing that got hold of my creative strain and I just couldn't say no. It took me a few attempts to then achieve the final look I wanted to create. Now finished I am happy to share it with all you lovely bloggers today.

This is the treasure I chose to work with.

It used to be a pineapple table lighter but with time it had lost it's little leafy brass top but that is so OK with me because it went from this ...

... to looking like this.

I named this pincushion 'Of Pineapple and Posies' and I think it is perfect!

Little groups of vintage porcelain flowers on the out and inside together with vintage dusty pink velvet and some crinkled seam binding turned this vintage lighter housing into a neat new pincushion creation of mine. What do you think?

I am very happy with my newest creation and I hope you have enjoyed it too.
This pincushion is now listed for sale in my Etsy shop if any of you should be interested.

This creation is now sold ~ Thank you

Thank  you for taking the time to stop by and visit me her at Todolwen and it would be so nice if you come back soon again.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  5. I think the bestest part of this is the little treasure that you've tucked up under the lid - such a special extra touch!
