I try very hard not to be someone that likes to go shopping for the sake of shopping but when I do decided to purchase a treasure for myself it has to be special and the little treasure I am sharing with you today is such a piece.
I would like you to meet Fern the fawn.
I found her on a garage sale a weekend ago.
She is a little brass figurine that it seems is unfinished ~ on her underside you can see that the part of where the brass was poured into the mold is still there and hasn't been cut off but that doesn't matter at all, she is still so beautiful.
I was told she was the first cast of the mold when she was made. There is no signature so I have no idea who made her and when she was made but I do know that when I saw her, she touched my heart and she needed to come home with me. My daughter Ashleigh gave her the lovely name that is perfect for her.

She will now find a new home either in my studio on my work table or dresser or maybe on my bedside table, I am not quite sure yet, I just want to be able that I will see her a lot when I spend time in which ever room I choose for her.
Thank you for stopping by today and visiting me here at Todolwen ~ it is always so nice when you do.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.
And again such a lovely treasure!
