For A Short Time ..

Hello my dear friends,

you all know how much I love all the critters, fury or feathered that visit our backyard/garden. A few weeks ago some ducks came to visit us again.

At first is was a little boy duck on his own.

He stayed for almost two days and felt quite safe it seems since he curled up and even slept for a little while.

The day after he was joined by another little male duck. They enjoyed each others company for a while and then left together.

After they left we had a little boy and girl show up. They swam in the pool for hours, feeding off all the green stuff that was laying on the pool cover.

They stayed in our garden until it was just after 10 pm and had gone dark that day and the only way we knew they had left was when were heard loud movement in the water that evening. It's a first time they even stayed that late.

That will most probably be the last time for this year that they will visit us. After they left I had cleaned and emptied the winter cover to get ready for the opening of the pool for the summer.

But it seems I was a little wrong ...

... the pool was opened and the next afternoon there was one of the little male ducks again.
He only paid us a very short little visit because I think he realized that the water wasn't nice and fresh anymore, so he left again. But never the less it was lovely as always.

Can you believe it?! ... I can't wait to swim and relax in the pool but I am already excited to see the first snowflake fall. Well ... I am a girl born in a town with the name 'People of the snow'.

Thank you for stopping by today and visiting me here at Todolwen ~ it is always so nice when you do so. And before I forget ...

... 'Thank you' to all of you who have left me so kind comments on yesterdays post. You are all so sweet and thoughtful.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  5. Isn't it a joy to have nature pay you a visit like that...and don't you wish we could buy fabric in that exact same mallard-head green?
