More Prettiness Was Needed ..

Hello my dear friends,

do you ever get this? ...
You look at a creation you have made and think ...' Hm... needs a little more prettiness'.

I did some days ago when I looked at some of my creations I had already shared with all you lovely bloggers. At the time I had shared them, I thought they were they best way I could have made them but now I have changed my mind with some of them. I feel a little more work was needed to make them perfect in my eyes. In some cases I just felt the need to add something more to it and in others I actually took some of my creations completely apart and started all over again, recreating them nicer than the first time or just different.

These two pincushions needed a little bit more work done to them.

This one had a few more pieces of vintage lace added and it went from this ...

... to this.

Now I like it so much more.

This pincushion too needed a little bit more prettiness adding.

It went from this ...

... to this.

Again now it is prettier than before and I am much happier with it. It has already sold but the  other pincushion will be listed in my little shop very soon.

I seem to have a thing with pincushions again right now. Actually I have a thing right now of trying to get so many things done creative or not (housework isn't creative in my mind). I am working on a few more things and I will share them as soon as they are completed. Just not quite sure when that will be, so do visit me sometime soon again here at Todolwen and see what I have been up too.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  3. I know very good what you are talking about Karen. Sometimes you look at your creation a second time and you can see what it needs to be perfect. Now they are!

  4. Just think of what we could create if only we didn't have to sleep, eat and do housework! Love the additions to the already-pretty cushions too.

  7. It's odd that at one time, it looks finished, and when you look at it again, you feel that it needs something more. Both ways are beautiful, and I would be honored to own anything you make! Best wishes.
