on one of my recent outings with my daughters I found this neat little piece. It is a true little gem in my eyes just waiting to be re-discovered.
Unfortunately someone had taken a can of silver spray paint to this lovely piece and even if I try and strip it chemically, I will not be able to save the lovely patina that time gives a piece so I will have to think of a different way to make this piece 'shine' again.
I just love all the different details this little treasure has and I am just hoping I can do the right thing to it to make it right.
Here you can see the bad paint job.
I am hoping the next time I share this with you, I would have transformed it into a little beautiful gem once again which I will share all you lovely bloggers once it is done. So, whenever you have a little spare time, why not stop by and visit me again, here at Todolwen and see what I have been doing.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.

Good Morning Karen, you have a wonderful eye to spot something and see it's potential. Looking forward to seeing your 'beautiful creation' of this sweet item. So sorry for such a mess with others misusing your photos. I have been a follower of yours for years now and know what you are like and am not dismayed by what others (not reputable) try to do. Blessings and smiles, Emilou :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you up and running with your posts, your creativity and you sensitivity to all things beautiful. How is it that you can see such lovely finishes when all I can see is a really bad paint job??? Speaks well of your soul, my dear!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing piece.. if only it hadn't been painted. I'm sure you can rescue it and make something beautiful.
ReplyDeleteToo bad someone thought that it was a good idea to spray paint it. It's definitely a gorgeous piece - can't wait to see what you will create with it.
