Treasures of Nature

Hello my dear friends,

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter Weekend! Mine was good but busy because I spent most of it in our garden digging, putting a new drainage system in and designing the layout but apart from a very very sore body every evening ~ it was really good and peaceful!

Whilst tidying underneath out willow tree 'Salisbury' I found something really neat! It was a piece of her bark which looks a bit like a ladle I think!? I also have older little treasures from nature that I found last fall. I am thinking of combining all or most of them together in a new creation. I might have an idea already but I am not going to say anymore right now. Once completed I will of course share with all you lovely bloggers!

Here are my little outdoor pieces ...

This piece of bark is so neat!

A little dried maple leaf with it's little seeds ~ I am amazed that the leaf is still so green!

My little wasp 'house' and last but not least ...

... some lovely dried flowers from my garden!

So ... now I just need to find the time to sit down and start creating. Right now my outdoor project is #1 because I want to have it finished before my birthday in June and believe me I will need all the time I can get, that's how much work there is to do. Once I am finished I will share photos of the result. I love before and after pictures but to tell you the truth I can't remember if I took before ones.

That's all for today my dear friends. Please keep dropping in here at Todolwen in the next few days ~ I have finished my latest creation and I will share it soon!

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Karen B.

  2. I always love stopping by to see you sweet Karen!!! And these treasures are BEAUTIFUL to me!!! I love found nature items and these would truly be beautiful in an assemblage....maybe tucked inside of an old drawer sitting up? Just gorgeous!!! I know your garden will be just beautiful when you are finished ~ sending you hugs and love, Dawn
