I Am A Bat Lover ...

Hello my dear friends,

I am a bat lover and always have been.

I will never forget when I was able to save a little bats life a year ago. Again a memory I cherish so much. It was such an adorable and amazing little creature.

Last week whilst out doing my grocery shopping I needed to head a the dollar store to pick some bits and pieces up. I was looking for a plastic pumpkin bucket for a different project and as I was walking down the 'Halloween' aisle when something caught my eye. It was a paper punch but not one of the dollar store ones. It was from the company EK but again that wasn't the best part of my finding.

The best thing was that the punch was of a little  ...

... bat!

I couldn't leave it there on the shelf, so it had to come home with me. I had no idea really what I was going to use the punch outs for because I am not really a 'halloweeny' person but I was sure something would come to my mind in the end.

Just look how cute these little night flyers look!

I just couldn't resist punching out a few right away from some black card ...

... and then a few from some 100 year old book pages ...

... and a few more from some vintage music sheets too.

Then I had a great idea of what I could do with them.

I wrapped up several of the little bats in baking paper and  tied the little parcel up neatly with black string, ...

... wrote a little note to accompany each little parcel and then I mailed them to three lovely ladies I know. These ladies love to work with paper, creating lovely tags and cards and I thought they might just like to have a few of the cute night flyers to create with. I hope the ladies will like my surprise mail.

Looking at the little night flyers I might just have to think of something I could create using them after all ... they are too neat!

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
