I have been quite busy these past few weeks. We were/still are renovating our powder room and I have also been working on a new custom order.
I was asked to create a special wreath for a customer's first wedding anniversary and I was to include my music sheet poinsettias and flowers that had the lyrics of an Ed Sheeran song that was played at their wedding. This was a first for me and I must admit that I was a little worried about doing this at first because I was a little unsure if I could create what was asked of me. But I worked hard on it and now it is done.
I made my poinsettias from vintage music sheets and gave them clear sparkling details.
For the other flower, paper was color washed first in a lovely purple shade and then the lyrics were then printed onto the pages. After that one more color wash was applied in white. I designed a smaller flower and gave them pearls to live in their centers.
Then it was time to put it all together.
Like I said, making a wreath like this was a first for me but I think that it turned out very lovely in the end. Bought fern leaves and seam binding became a part of this creation and a little personal touch in the shape of paper shamrock were added (a tiny bit of Irish for the anniversary couple).

I am over the moon to be able to share with you that my customer loves what I have created for her and her husband's first wedding anniversary and I am so happy about this!
The wreath completed and waiting to be mailed to it's new home, I thought it would be nice to add a tiny little something to this order. I had a few sheets of the purple flowers left over ...
... and so I turned them into lovely butterfly confetti.
A small bag, made from some vintage lace I had became the 'wrapping' for all those little purple butterflies. I placed it inside the box with the wreath when I packed and wrapped it for mailing.
I hope Diane will like my little gift.

I would love to hear your thoughts and I hope you have enjoyed my newest creation.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me today. Do come back some time again and see what I have been up too, you never know what I might have to share.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day.
These are beautiful Karen. Your client would have been over the moon with delight with it.
