Early Sunday Morning ~ Part 2 ...

Hello my dear friends,

we arrived at the beach of  Lake Huron and it was perfect!
Apart from us, there were only a few more people there with the same thoughts of an early Sunday morning.

The sand was still wet from the rain that had fallen the night before  ...

... and the air was cool.

The clouds were still low and a breeze was blowing ...

... and sailboats ...

... were again gliding over the lake.

The seagulls were ...

... still sleepy apart from one ...

... that gazed into the far.

Small waves were breaking at the shoreline ...

... and the water, which was actually quite warm hugged my feet.

As far as you could see ...

... no people, no noise just peace and quiet and the sound of the water.

The wind was finally able to move the clouds away after a while ...

... and the sun brightend the sky.

More sailboats ...

... could now be seen in the distance.

The lifeguard station become my daughter's 'castle' for a short time.

Further down the beach ...

... the light house stands all bright in white.

More seagulls lay ...

... resting in the sand along the beach.

And where there are seagulls ...

... their are white feathers.

Well, maybe be not all white ...

... this lovely gray seagull flew right past me.

Others like this one ...

... did the same as us ... walking the shoreline with it's feet in the water.

More feathers laying in the sand ...

... this one was still holding onto the raindrop from the last rain.

One the way to the lighthouse ...

... bright yellow blooming weeds looked so beautiful.

Blue as far as the eye could see.

My two sweet daughters still looking for beach treasures ...

... and then just before leaving, my younger one again lost in her thoughts ... far, far away.
(Wonder what she is thinking about ... a penny for her thoughts.)

With many beach treasures in hand, wet feet and sand between our toes it was time for us to continue our day. We had been on the beach for a about two hours and time just flew by. We decided that is wasn't time to head home just yet but instead to go to a flea market. It only is open from May until Thanks Giving and that only on Sundays . It was a short drive down the road from the beach and a little more treasure hunting couldn't hurt really.

Who knew I would actually find a proper treasure that morning but you can read all about that in tomorrow's post.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me today and I hope you have enjoyed your short stay.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
