The Everlasting Arms ..

Hello my dear friends,

I believe that if you believe in God and he is with you and some times he will even let you know that he is with you. I feel this is maybe sort of what happened to me a few weeks ago and no, I am not crazy but life sometimes unfolds itself in mysterious ways.

I was out with my older daughter Ashleigh at her appointment with her tattoo artist Dana for hours. (Please let me tell you that I know many people do not approve of tattoos but I believe in my daughter and I am happy with her decision. She is beautiful with or without her tattoos.) Of course my bottle of water ran out after a while and I was told to please help myself to the water cooler behind the store counter which was very kind. Right next to the cooler, in a corner there was gathering of 'stuff' stacked up and one thing caught my eye that was laying there underneath some things. It was an old tatty piece of card, stained from age and with torn edges but the words on this card were what spoke to me right away.

It read ... 'Underneath are the everlasting arms'

I asked my daughter's tattoo artist that if whoever this belonged to and didn't want it,  I would be interested in buying it. Her reply was that she though it was trash and if I wanted it, I could take it.
You should have seen the smile on my face! I thanked her so much and asking 'Really?' to which she replied 'Yes, really! and 'I can't believe someone can be so happy over a piece of trash!'.
I can tell you that I went home very happy that evening.

I wanted to know more about these words and took to the bible to find out more and this is what I read ...

Now these meaningful words have a place in my studio ...

... and I see them as soon as I walk into the room and because  this is such a lovely piece, I wanted to share it with you too.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

Ich glaube, Gott sieht das Herz an, nicht die Tatoos :)

  5. What a lovely find. That verse is one of my favourites. How wonderful to know that God loves us and carries us in his arms.

  6. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you were meant to find that piece of 'trash'. God works in mysterious ways doesn't He.

  7. I love how God does things like this in our lives!!! They let us know He loves and cares for us deeply. That is a favorite scripture for me, especially since losing my husband 19 months ago.

    Enjoy this lovely, encouraging piece.

  9. I believe, that the things sometimes find you, and not that you find the things :-)!
