New Windows! ...

Hello my dear friends,

thank you all for keeping your fingers crossed for me on Friday.

Everything went really well with the work that was done to our house. Not a single hick up and we now have new windows and I am one happy lady. I am only going to share our master bedroom window because it is the one that had the most work and change done. I have always wanted it to be similar to our dining room window that was right below it. Now it is and it looks great.

The upstairs of our house had mostly the original windows as you can see and they were over 40 years old now.

When we decided to get a new bedroom window installed I had to choose how much larger I wanted it to be.

It came down to a foot larger or even almost 2 feet larger in height. I picked the shorter one of the two in the end. The day before the installation I started second guessing myself about having it enlarged at all. I always so worry about things that could go wrong. Friday morning came and so did the installers and within about 45 minutes of being at our house, the old window was out ...

... and the size was changed.

I was so excited when I saw how much of our garden I could now see!

And of course where there is work, there is mess ...

... but it was so worth it and the installers were amazing!
It was a family team and they work so well together. I would have them work on my house any time again with out any worries. They picked every little piece up and even vacuumed the rooms they worked in and the garage too.

And now look at how good it looks!
I got what I had hoped for and am so happy with it.

And look how lovey and bright it is now ...

... inside the room!

I can't tell you how much I LOVE the new window in our master bedroom and I am glad that we went with the decision to enlarge it. And because I love our cats so much, I had the installers build a new windowsill for them to sit on and watch the birds and squirrels in the trees.

It is so nice to be able to cross off a big thing from the 'house to-do' list and that also means that renovations for this year are now done and that is good news. Peace and quite returning is something I am looking forward to, until next year when we will be taking on the next item on our list.

Thank you for visiting me today here at Todolwen.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
