for quite a few years now little Lilies of the Valleys have been growing in our garden/backyard but I don't think I have every picked any until a few days ago.
I only took 6 or 7 stems but that was enough to make my studio smell like an huge blooming flower garden.

they look so delicate....
ReplyDeleteI love lily of the valley and have some growing in a flower bed too.
ReplyDeleteI've never cut any...such a small patch of them. Maybe I'd better check
them out this year and cut a few. I can smell them now.
Oh what a beautiful sight! Such sweet memories you have evoked of my young days visiting my Grandmothers garden.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Lovely flowers are such a pretty contrast to the tarnished vase.
ReplyDeleteI used to have these plants all along the side of my home, just at my side door. Ever time I neared that area, I was greeted with the best fragrance. You are so fortunate. Pick them often and enjoy them indoors.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the vase, too!

Nature is so beautiful!

I've always thought they look like they're made of wax and too perfect to be real. They smell divine (as do lilacs) but I dare not have any in my living space (allergies).
ReplyDeleteHello Dear Karen,
ReplyDeleteFeels so good to be back blogging again after spending so many weeks packing and unpacking and setting up my studio in a much downsized space again but we are getting settled and happy.
Lilly of the Valley is a fragrance I soooo love and I can only imagine the fragrance in your sutdio smelling like a flower shop!!!
Thank you for your kind visit my dear friend,
Suzy
