My Little Drop Cloth Fruit ~ Strawberry Delight No. 4 ..

Hello my dear friends,

again I have a "thing" for something and that thing is my little drop cloth strawberries. I just love how they look and can't resist making and using them in my pincushion creations.

These past few days I have taken the time to sit down and work on two new 'Strawberry Delight' pincushions and today I am sharing one of them with all you lovely bloggers again. This time I used a tarnished chalice instead of a old metal sugar bowl and love the outcome.

As almost always these days I start with a little drawing of how I want my creation to look like and then I get to work and this is it complete ...

... my 'Strawberry Delight' no.4 pincushion.

In this creation I used 3 of my strawberries. I made two from drop cloth and the third one, which is a little larger, from a left over piece of the unfinished embroidery pillowcases top which I used in my 'a little rustic something' pincushion. Sari silk ribbon and seam binding were also a must. Combined together with a piece of the old tatted doily I had used last time it turned out just lovely in my eyes!

What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today and taking the time to visit me here at Todolwen. It is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  6. I have a chalice that has been gracing the shelf above my sewing desk - it currently holds my small scissors, but it might just need to be transformed into a pincushion.
