Large Scale Work Continues ..

Hello my dear friends,

remember me saying that I was thinking of painting my kitchen and dinning room last week?! ... Well, I actually did this a few days ago! Again I am so happy it is done and it was the best thing I could have done really this past week.

I was so eager to start that I remembered to take a picture or two just in time before I started to prime the walls but after everything was moved around. I need to take note of doing so before I start work the next time.

Can you see my blackboard on the right?
It barely stands out and it is such a pretty piece (I made it from an old picture frame I had bought for $ 5 in a second hand store) but hopefully that will change. Please ignore the mess! But as you can see the wall color is very rich but also very dark.

Again before with the old wall color in a dark barn red ...

... primed and ...

... with the new color! (And still a mess ..!)

Oh my ... how big and bright the room now is! It really is amazing what a change of color can do for a room. I love my living room and dinning/kitchen so much more now.
(Sorry that the pictures are a bit blurry, I have no idea why this happened.)

The nicest thing about this is that I am done with painting for this year but the new year is just around the corner so I am already thinking of another room to work on. Now I just have to get everything all tidy and neat and decorated for Christmas ... I am just so crazy busy these days!

I already have a few new creations which I made a little while ago to share with you hopefully very soon I just haven't finished the posts about them yet but as soon as I have they will be here on Todolwen.

Thank you for taking the time to visit me again ~ it is always so nice when you do.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  2. WOW!! That is amazing, actually, you are amazing!! Love the new color, it appears to be a soft gray. I'm always telling myself to take the photo before I start.....usually I don't remember until I'm midway through the project! Thank you for sharing. Love ya' Patricia B
