My To~ Do's Are Taking Over ..

Hello my dear friends,

in these past weeks it seems that my to-do's or you could also call them chores are taking over a lot of my time and especially my mind and when I do finally have time to be creative, I am either not in the mood, too tired or there is just nothing there! Isn't that sad?!

When it comes to being creative right now I feel it is like when you are trying to light a fire but it just won't start to burn. That is my mind ... trying to come up with something new is just not happening or if it does then only an uncompleted. I think my problem is that I want to do too much all at once again. But then again maybe I am being creative just in a different way or on a larger scale?! I am working on my studio a lot to get it just the way I want it too be. It rained a few days ago when I wanted to head into our garden to pull weeds, so I painted my studio instead. I also painted some of my smaller pieces of furniture too but then after that I needed to rest my poor body for a day ~ moving heavy furniture around on your own takes it's toll on your muscles!

Now on top of it I am also sick with a cold or flu, I am not really sure which and I feeling quite under the weather so nothing is getting done at all and as you can seen writing a post to share isn't happening too often neither.

But on the other hand I am over the moon about something.
I created Todolwen in 2011 and I am so happy because it has been now viewed over ...

... 1 million times! WOW!
(fireworks are just going off in my head!)

Thank you to all of you who have made my day!
Thank you for all your lovely and kind words over the past years, thank you for your support and for following me through thick and thin ~ I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for all of you lovely people. My love to all of you.

Hopefully I will be better in a few days and maybe I will even have a new idea to work on and share, so do visit me some time again here at Todolwen ~ it always is so nice when you do.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  1. Hope you soon are feeling better and back doing the things you love. It's not a bad thing to take time to recharge and we mustn't feel guilty about it. Take care! (oh...and congrats on the huge milestone!!)

  2. Sorry to hear you are sick. I too have been sick these past 2 days. My advice don't fight it but rest, maybe read a book or watch a movie and let your body heal, In a few days you will be better and ready to start again. With your room and furniture painted you have a great start.
Have a restful healing day. Pam :)

  3. Creative blocks come and go... there are many, many more wonderful things to come from your magical fingers - you must trust in that!
I hope you are well soon Karen.

  4. Congratulations on reaching a million and I hope you are feeling much better soon.

  5. Hope you get to feeling better. If it is like what my hubby went through it takes a while to get over it. I have enjoyed catching up with you. Hugs and prayers from a Missouri Friend.

  6. Congrats on your milestone. Blogging is a creative outlet for me and connects me with people all over the world I would have never met. Necessity is the mother of invention. I understand the frustration about feeling creative. Cooking for my husband and his schedule have taken over dominance in my life and I want to scream at times. Yesterday I retreated tomy book. Today I WILL PAINT!!! xo Jenny

  7. Espero que aviat la teva salut millori i superis la grip!
    Una abraçada

  8. Oh my poor Karen!
Take a rest to be well very quick and than you can start the next millions :-)!
I would like to come over to make some tea for you.
Please stay calm, we will wait for you.
    Sometimes life isn't easy.

    Hugs and kisses

  9. Congratulations on your million views.

I laughed when I read that your To Do's were taking over. My daughter was in my creative space the other day and commented that my March To Do list is still hanging up. I explained that it isn't finished yet. I completed so many items on my lists in May that I am exhausted.
