So Very Far Behind ..

Hello my dear friends,

I can't believe how far behind I am with all sorts of things, especially my project of de-cluttering
and creating, writing and sharing posts here on Todolwen.

(I forgot to mention that this photo was taken a few weeks ago and I just wanted you to know how bad it had been.)

I think that this long and dark Winter has taken all my strength and my mojo and placed them into hibernation mode because I am always tired and just can't seem to get anything done these days. I am just hoping this will get better very fast since the sun is starting to come out more and more every day.

I had taken some amazing photos these past months of snow and ice, many of them and never shared them so far but I will do my best to get into gear and share them in several posts hopefully soon.

I have also been spending very little time being creative.
I have had some ideas but not worked on many of them ~ it seems like there is a cork in my bottle of creativeness. Oh ... I am not a happy camper now. Creating is a big part of me and when that isn't there, I don't like to come out to play.

The only thing that comforts me is knowing that I am not alone with this.
I know all of us get this down point once in a while and then I see you all bloom again filled with beautiful creations and amazing ideas and  that is where I want head to right now.

I just need a little more time to get there.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind,

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  2. This winter has been a particularly difficult one, Karen. I know for us here in New England it was truly an endurance test to get through it. I haven't felt like knitting or reading for quite awhile, now, and have been simply trying to parcel out my energy and get enough rest. But the last week or so our weather has grown milder and I've found myself out in the garden and eyeing my knitting needles. I hope the same happens to you! In the meantime, I wish I could send you some of the sunlight we're having today. It really does lift one's spirits!

  4. I can sympathize. Our winter here wasn't as bad as yours or New England, but instead of organizing, cleaning, creating, I've mostly just read books one after the other. I think we're finally into spring here, although not much green to see as yet. (It wasn't that long ago, I FINALLY put my Santa's away, but the guest rooms are still in a state of shambles from Christmas.. oh my!)
Hang in there.. I'm sure blue skies and sunshine and flowers and trees greening up with make a big difference.

  5. Take care Karen... sometimes it's just the ebb and flow. I do understand - happens to me quite regularly but I have learned it always comes back, and I truly believe yours will too. Time and patience...
    Big hugs,

  7. I can really understand how you feel Karen - just looking at all that snow makes me want to dive under a duvet and hibernate! Fortunately for me, its Spring here in the UK and we have some warmth again, lots of daffodils and little lambs to cheer us. Hope you get back on track very soon. Love, Margie xx
