do you have bad days at times? Well, I had one this last Thursday!
The evening before I was working on my front yard, weeding and tidying it up. I always take before and after pictures to see my progress and I did so yesterday as well. Then I continued to weed and once the bugs and mosquitoes were getting too much for me I decided to go inside the house again. All is well I thought ... well, until the next morning that was ...
I was getting ready to head outside again and wanted to grab the camera and ... no camera!! I looked and looked every where, I even tore open the garden waste bag and dug through it with my hands ... still NO camera. The last time I remember seeing it was when I started working the evening before taking a few pictures. I almost tore my house apart to find it and searched the front yard more than once ... still nothing! The worst thing is, it's not even my camera but my daughter Ashleigh's!! I felt and still feel awful about it. Ashleigh isn't too happy but she is so sweet saying, if it is gone, it's not good but don't worry. My younger daughter says that I have most probably only miss placed it and it will show up sooner or later. I think it must have fallen out of my pocket and I didn't notice it and then went inside and between that moment and the next morning somebody saw it laying on my front lawn and took it! I have put a note on our tree and I am hoping that it might help. I actually got so upset about this I didn't get out to work on my outdoor project at all that day so that is another thing that made me feel even worse, since I only have a little time left to complete this challenge to myself again. I truly hope your Thursday was better than mine.
I hope somebody will react to this sign! I took this picture with my new camera which I will be watching like a hawk!!
Friday thankfully did turn out a bit better ~ I got a good bit of work done again which made me happier but nothing on the lost camera so far. Here are before and after pics of the part of my garden I managed to do ...
Before ...
... and after a hard days work!
It might not look like a lot of work but I can tell you it really is very, very hard work ~ the stepping stones were really heavy!
On Saturday I finally finished the right side of our house and I am so happy about that but I am not done just yet.
One side down and one to go!
Sunday morning I started bright and early on the other side of our house. This side wasn't too hard because it was your basic shoveling stones into the wheelbarrow and then pushing them to where they had to go and bump them out but never the less still a lot of hard work! I only got to work just over 4 hours because it was very hot that morning.
On another note ... I am going to start working on a new little tutorial I have in mind and I am hoping I will get a little creative time soon and of course once finished I will share with all you lovely bloggers.
And last but not least ...
I also have to make a gift for my younger daughter Caylagh. It is her birthday on June 13th! I won't be able to share this creation until after her special day.
And finally ...
I don't think I will have much time to blog this coming week but please don't forget to stop by ~ you never know if I had a little spare time for Todolwen.
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
Hope you find it or it is returned to you very soon.

Oh my goodness Karen I hope you find it soon!!
ReplyDeleteYour stepping stones are awesome!!
well done! an amazing transformation! wow...you must be exhausted?? (I do hope your daughter's camera turns up!!)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your "lost" camera. You'd hope that if someone saw it in your yard they'd take up to the house. Let's hope the sign niggles someone's conscience! Your hard work looks great. I know those stepping stones are heavy, and so is a load of gravel. You must have some great arm muscles by now. Soon you can just sit back and look at all the work and enjoy the view.
ReplyDeleteOh no :( I do hope that the camera will turn up SOON! That would be a bad day for sure! Looking forward to your next post in which you will tell us that you DID find the camera...
ReplyDeleteBefore I go, just wanted to confirm that yes those stepping stones ARE heavy. And although your progress may not appear to be much (as you mentioned), you did get quite a bit done! I know because I am going through the same thing right now with re-doing large beds of plants and flowers. Keep going - it all looks great!
