I Am 'Computer-Less' ..

Hello my dear friends,

I am so sorry that instead of me sharing something that I have created recently, the reason for this post today is to let you know that I am now 'computer-less'!

 My laptop had started to go crazy two days ago and wouldn't stop scrolling as soon as it was turned on so it had to finally go in for repairs today. All my photos are on my lilac baby and therefor I won't be able to share any of them with you today either and I have a few nice ones that I am sure you would all love, but I will do so on a later date. I am not sure when my laptop will be done ~ I should find this out in the next few days. My younger daughter is so sweet and she will let me check my emails and maybe write a short post like this one in between on her laptop until I have mine back.

 

I would like to remind all of you about my 'Christmas To Come' giveaway and that there is still time to enter your guess and name. I am hoping to have my laptop back in time for my giveaway and I am also going to be ready in time for this years 'Where Bloggers Create' ... so fingers crossed!

 

Other than that everything is well here at Todolwen so until hopefully soon ...

So Thoughtful ..

Hello my dear friends,

I recently received several messages from some of you sweet bloggers asking if I was OK.

 

Firstly, thank you so much for being so sweet and thoughtful and for being concerned about me ~ I love you for that! Unfortunately I can't get in touch with some of you because you are a 'no-reply blogger'.

Secondly ... yes,  I am OK, just very busy. So much is going on and on top of everything, my poor laptop in need of repairs as well. I am working on reorganizing and de-cluttering our entire house and garage and will hopefully be finished soon. There has been a tiny bit of time where I have been able to do two quick creative things but there isn't really time at this moment to actually sit down and start and work on a new project and there is also almost no time to blog neither right now.

 I have much to share about what has been going on and I will hopefully will be able to put 'pen to paper' or rather 'fingers to keyboard' soon and tell you all about it, so do stop by soon  again and visit me here at Todolwen again some time ~ I always love it when you do!

 

For today I will leave you with some flowers (and a weed) from our garden and a huge hug from me to all of you.

When Unwell ~ Rest!

Hello my dear friends,

my advice to all of you ... if you are feeling unwell, please take the time to rest and get better.

Something I should have done myself. After I felt a little better with my cold/flu, I so wanted to quickly get into work mode again. Instead of taking it easy I worked very hard moving furniture from one level of the house to another (on my own) and right after that I decided to cut the front and back lawn and doing so power walking (I know, a silly thing to do) which put me right down and out for the next few days and sicker than I was before. I hope a lesson learnt for myself. Right now I am getting better and the aches and pains are getting less. 

One good thing about having to sit and rest is that I have finally decided on what I am going to be making for my 'Christmas To Come' giveaway and I have already started working on it. I must say it is looking so lovely ... festive and beautiful!

My To~ Do's Are Taking Over ..

Hello my dear friends,

in these past weeks it seems that my to-do's or you could also call them chores are taking over a lot of my time and especially my mind and when I do finally have time to be creative, I am either not in the mood, too tired or there is just nothing there! Isn't that sad?! 

When it comes to being creative right now I feel it is like when you are trying to light a fire but it just won't start to burn. That is my mind ... trying to come up with something new is just not happening or if it does then only an uncompleted. I think my problem is that I want to do too much all at once again. But then again maybe I am being creative just in a different way or on a larger scale?! I am working on my studio a lot to get it just the way I want it too be. It rained a few days ago when I wanted to head into our garden to pull weeds, so I painted my studio instead. I also painted some of my smaller pieces of furniture too but then after that I needed to rest my poor body for a day ~ moving heavy furniture around on your own takes it's toll on your muscles!

 Now on top of it I am also sick with a cold or flu, I am not really sure which and I feeling quite under the weather so nothing is getting done at all and as you can seen writing a post to share isn't happening too often neither.

But on the other hand I am over the moon about something.
I created Todolwen in 2011 and I am so happy because it has been now viewed over ...

... 1 million times! WOW!
(fireworks are just going off in my head!)

Springtime Babies ..

Hello my dear friends,

with Springtime finally here and hopefully staying more wildlife babies are being born.

 

Since just over a week we have been aware of a pair of Canadian geese (which are one of my most favourite animals) that have chosen the 'frog' pond in the park down our road as their nesting place. Of course we have been to visit a few times now and it is so nice to see them in our neighbourhood, feeling safe and wanting to have their babies here.

 

 Mama goose is sitting tight on that nest since weeks keeping the eggs nice and warm ...

 ...whilst Papa goose is making sure no one gets too close.

 

That was last week.

 

Yesterday we took some corn and grain to the pond and we knew right away something was different.

 

Mama goose had her wings covering the entire nest ~ it had rained earlier and to me that was a sign of something special ... we just had to be still and quiet and wait.

And then we saw something so beautiful ...

... a baby goose that hatched that morning!

A little later suddenly three more little feathered babies showed themselves too!

We left shortly after we took a few more photos so they could rest again.
Some of the photos I am sharing today were taken by my younger daughter Caylagh B. She is getting very good at pressing that button at the perfect time. She asked for me not to edit any of the because she prefers it that way and they are stunning.

And this is why they call it the frog pond.
Not only are there many, many frogs that sing so nicely but also a few snapper turtles live in the pond too.

Today we went back again and had a huge surprise waiting for us ...

 

 ... there were 6 little goslings in total now!

One cuter than the other!

We kept our distance not to worry the parents and goslings too much as they took a walk down the path along the creek and it was such a lovely sight. I am sure we are going to go back in the next few days to see how they are doing.

A short update on the bunny rescue ...

... as far as we can tell the three little bunnies left the nest a few days after we placed the basket over it. The last time they were seen, they were happily jumping in the grass of my neighbour's garden. Hopefully they will still be around in our neighbourhood.
