Of Purples and Greens ...

Hello my dear friends,

do some of you remember my little violet nests that I made some time ago?

Back then I was inspired by a scarf I had seen on Pinterest. Recently I was inspired by the nests I made and the colors I used. And that is what I am sharing with you today,  my newest creations which are a few of my newest pincushions.

I chose some neat pieces again for the bases. For the one I chose a little art nouveau vase and for the other a little old tarnished teastrainer. Along with hand dyed seam binding and sari silk ribbon, pieces from wool sweater (also hand dyed) and vintage bits of sparkle, both pincushions have turned out rather deliteful in my eyes but see for youselves ...

This is my "Pretty in Lavender" pincushion ...

... and my "Lavender Tea Time" pincushion ...

Oh, I do like how they have turned!
I think I just might have to make something else using these colors again. These shades of purple and green just go so well together! They are so pleasent to look at and so pretty overall, don't you agree?

So, that is all for today again but I am hoping to be back very soon with more to share.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed your short visit today and what I have shared with you.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful, safe and creative day.

    1. Catherine, thank you so much for your kind words. It is a piece of an older lambswool sweater that I have hand dyed. I don't think that I felted this one but I have done so before.
