Yesterday's Post

Hello my dear friends,

this is just a short, short post today to say that I hope I haven't upset or offended anyone with what I said in my post yesterday. If I have, I am sorry because that was the last thing I had in mind. My intentions were the best really in asking for the right person to be credited for their work ~ I just didn't want any misunderstandings. I hope everybody understands.

I hope you are all well and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Karen B.

  1. I think your post was anything but offensive. It was a gentle reminder for people to pin things properly. There have been really troubling copyright issues and problems when people don't pin the right way or use Tumblr as a source or give no source at all. This was demonstrated in a post yesterday (and a not so gentle comment from me)here: http://www.justlove.ly/2012/03/copyright-infringement-via-pinterest.html

  2. You are not the first one who's commented on the lack of proper credit. Even if it's originally credited, it seems to get lost. I think a gentle reminder is needed, especially by those whose credit for their beautiful work gets left out.

  3. Don't you worry one little bit sweet Karen. Seems Pinterest is a hot topic right now ~ it's good for one to take care when pinning. It really is such a wonderful website, good for sharing and creating traffic to our blogs! But it's true, we all need to be careful and give credit where credit is due. I hope you are doing wonderful dear friend, hugs and love, Dawn

  4. I wasn't offended, I truly get it and try when I use my pinterest account. You aren't the first blogger I've read who have similar pet peeves, and I must add that they mirror mine. HOWEVER, I think everyone needs to remember that not all Pinterest users are computer experts. I got my mom signed up with Pinterest as a place to visually store all her finds on the computer mainly so she could stop printing reams of paper. She loves it, but doesn't have the ability to do much else besides hit the pin it button.

  5. How adorable I can't wait to crochet these! What size hook and yarn do you recommend I use? Sorry but I am new to crochet, and I am hooked!
