Drop Cloth Root Vegetables ...

Hello my dear friends,

as much as I love Winter and the snow my mind was telling me to think of creating something for the approaching season of Spring and the idea I came up with was in my eyes just perfect and that is what I am sharing with all of you today.

A few mornings ago, the sun was shining in the bright blue sky and the snow was as white as white can be. That just put me into the mood of wanting to be creative. I have been thinking and thinking over the last few weeks of what I would or could make and I have several ideas and projects on my to do list, but none of those appealed to me really that day. You all know how much I love working with drop cloth and sari silk ribbon so that is exactly what I chose.

With Spring decor comes all sorts of neat things and one surprised me actually. Did you know that amongst nests, flowers, eggs, birdhouses and bunnies, carrots are one of the most used things to decorate for Spring?! Yes, you read right ... carrots! I have only made carrots once and they were pincushions made from orange colored velvet. This time they look different and they are not pincushions but decor pieces that would look neat in a wooden bowl or basket, or displayed anywhere really.

Here are my take on carrots ...

... my neutral set, all in cream ...

... and my off-white ones with pale green tops.

I hope you have enjoyed my newest creations as much as I have enjoyed making them.

I have just listed a few sets of these carrots for sale in my Etsy shop so if you are interested why not just pop over and take a look? If they are already gone when you go there don't worry, I am working on a few more sets as I am writing this post.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.
