A Few Re~Do's And Pumpkins For Sale ...

Hello my dear friends,

gosh! ...Talk about time flying, it has been forever since I have been here in blogland!

Life has just busy with all sorts these days and I have been sick with a nasty cold these past three weeks. I have been somewhat creative in the past month but I just hasn't gotten around to sharing anything really. Today I am feeling much better and therefore I have been busy all morning getting this post ready to share with all of you which makes me so happy.

I hadn't actually planned to make anything new for Autumn and I was at one point thinking of just skipping it this year but now I changed my mind. My thoughts are with possibly making a few bits and pieces after all in the next few days but today I am sharing a few re~do's that I have done.

In the past I have made things and I have liked them very much but then after a while, I sometimes decide to redo them and change their look. This time it was some of my pumpkins that I worked on again. They will be listed in my Etsy shop in the next few days amongst a few more of my pumpkins I have made in the past.

Here is my first remake. It is my natural pumpkin which is made from my favorite drop cloth.
The changes for this pumpkin are very subtle.

Away went the big seam binding bow ...

... and now lovely grey velvet pumpkin leaves and more pip berries embellish this Autumn fruit.

The next pumpkin also had a makeover to a different and again a more subtle look.

Again gone is the green dyed lace, black crystal and larger seam binding bow.

Now in it's place is a simple bow made from crinkled seam binding and lots of pip berries, a lovely Autumn look.

And these are the other pumpkins that will also be listed in my Etsy shop for sale.

You might remember them from when I shared them for the first time but just in case you don't, I will tell you a little about them.

The first one is my very first pumpkin that I made.

It is made from vintage velvet in a beautiful color. It's stem is a real pumpkin stalk and it is embellished with a piece of vintage lace and a bow made of sari silk ribbon. The final touch is an antique old key that I bought whilst living in England. It is such a lovely Autumn fruit in my eyes and I still love everything about it but it's time for someone else to enjoy it now.

Second is my little black velvet pumpkin.

This was my first little Halloween creation.

It also has a real pumpkin stalk and is embellished with a piece of old tatting and some hand dyed black seam binding. It has tendrils made from paper covered wire and the neat little touch is a little spider that made from two jingle bells and wire lives on it. A neat little Halloween creation which is looking to spend some spooking time with someone new.

And last but not least ... my set of pumpkins "And One Makes Three".
I made them a few years ago but never listed them until now.

Each pumpkin is made from a subtle colored fabric and the stem is either a handle of a vintage/antique fork or knife. Each pumpkin is embellished with some vintage tatting or lace, some seam binding, leaves made from sari silk ribbon and a piece of sparkle. All together they make a very lovely set of Autumn fruit.

I have just finished another pumpkin re~so that I will be sharing here on Todolwen hopefully tomorrow. This one has a more spooky look for that special night with the ghouls and ghosts.
So if you have a few moments spare, why not pop by again and take a look?!

Thank you for taking the time to visit me here today and I hope you have enjoyed your short stay.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  1. Before. After. Both are exquisite and I love each and every single one. Quite the juxtaposition you got going on - soft, rough, etc.

    Trick or Treat!
