Hello my dear friends,
today's post turns out to be is one of those late ones again.
It is about a pincushion that I had made some time ago and just forgot to share it with all of you. I honestly can't even tell you when I made it, other than some time earlier this year.
It came to be after I was inspired by this pincushion of mine.
My "Tatty Strawberry Delight".
The look of this pincushion appealed to me so much that I just wanted to make something using some of the same bits and pieces again combined with new ones. That is what I did and it turned out exactly the way I hoped it would. And that is what I am sharing with all of you today, my newest strawberry pincushion.
I named it ...
... "More Tatty Berries"
Old tattered lace, sari silk ribbon and the same lovely red fabric became my berry. This time though the berry lives on a old tarnished piece and looks just lovely.

It even has a little friend, a little sidekick in the shape of a smaller strawberry which is a needle sharpener that is filled with crushed walnut shells.
Not so forgotten anymore, which would have been a shame really in my eyes, if it was.

Hi Karen, The first one looks like a carrot to me which I really like. It might be the angle of the shot or the color. The tatted doily on the second one is just gorgeous. The wee strawberry hanging off of it is just delightful. Have you ever used emery in your needle sharpener bits? You are able to get it at Bird Brain Designs which is online. I bought a 1 pound bag and it just seems to never run out...I guess It's because you use so little. I usually use the walnut shells in the pincushions to keep my pins sharp and to give the cushions weight. These two pincushions are so whimsical. Just like most of what you do. Thank you for sharing.
