Keeping My Mind Busy ..

Hello my dear friends,

firstly thank you for your kind and thoughtful words that I have received from so many of you. You have all touched my heart and I am so grateful for that.

I have been trying to keep myself and especially my mind busy as best as I can this past while now so I don't think too much about what has being going on these past weeks. When Marmalade the neighborhood cat died, it just broke my heart. It was the last thing in a string of events that had happened over the past few weeks that just made me very unhappy. I am working on trying to feel better again and to also become more positive once again but with some things it will just take time to heal.

Like I said, I am trying to be busy and one way of doing so is thinking of others and what you can do for them. Since the past few days I have been working on a gift for a sweet friend of mine.

I am crocheting again and this time it is little stars. They are just so neat and lovely. The pattern for them is not mine though. I just couldn't make one up that I was happy with but after a longer search, I found the perfect one. Now all I have to do is remember where I found it so I can share the link with of all you Lovelies. I think it was on Pinterest but I haven't found it again so far. I made the little star once and the pattern just stayed with me in my mind, silly me should have remembered the link too.

Anyway ... here are a few of my little stars.

They are very neat and the best thing is that my mind is able to take a break when I am making them.

They are also quite small too, just the way I like it.

I won't be able to tell or show you anymore than this because then it won't be a surprise for my friend anymore but one day I will share more about them.

Wrapped nicely and tied up with a seam binding bow, they are already in the mail and on their way to ..... nope, not saying where just yet. Like I said, that is for another post. I just hope that they get to their desitnation soon and I hope they put a smile on my friends face.

Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting me here at Todolwen. It is always so nice when you do and makes my day that little bit better.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day.

  2. I love the sweet little stars!!! hope you will be able to find the link....would like to try them. I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet kitty. We have had two yellow and white cats and loved them so much......it so hard when we have to say goodbye, because they surely are a part of us. I hope the Spring will help put joy back in your heart and the Lord will refresh your spirit in the ways that only He can do. Linda

  3. Just thinking of the stars you are making and thinking that Marmalade is one of those stars looking down at you thanking you for all you did. The stars are beautiful. I can say like so many have said, it all takes time, and it does take time. But as the time goes by you will remember all the good times you had with Marmalade, and it won't be so bad. Remember that Marmalade is with God and God takes special care of his creatures. Great big hugs to you ((((((((Karen))))))). You are in my prayers. -- Andy

  5. I find keeping my hands busy, keeps my mind busy. It has to pay attention to what my hands are doing, therefore it can't wander off on its' own.....
Your stars remind me of these 'teeny, tiny stars' - found on www.attic24.typepad.com
A dear friend once wrote to me 'Tis said that 'Time heels all wounds', but it can also 'wound all heels'. Just a thought time to keep in mind. =>/<=

  6. You'll soon be smiling and enjoying life once again. Everybody has little hiccups - please don't beat yourself up. Take the time you need to have your cry. You're doing well just by creating something from your heart to put a smile on a friend's face. And these little stars certainly will make her smile.

    Enjoy your day!

  8. Take time for you Karen. One of the best things is to do a little bit that's creative every day; soon you will be back to your old self. Scarred a little perhaps, but stronger. Hugs.
