My Second Piece Of Christmas Magic ..

Hello my dear friends,

unfortunately things didn't work out too well this Christmas season with my creating or sharing any of my creations I did manage to make but I did say that there would be more than one of my music box creations and now there is.

Today I am thrilled to share my second 'Christmas Magic' creation with all you lovely bloggers. Again I am so buzzed on how it has turned out and I had again so much fun making this creation. For this music box I chose a cream and white color theme and the melody is such a lovely one too.

Just like with my first music box creation I used sparkles and glitter and old lace and little pewter critters combined with snow and more Christmas spirit to bring this one again together.

And this is my second 'Christmas Magic' music box ...

And just like with my first little music box I have made a tiny little video so you can not only see my creation but also hear it too. And also just like the first one it's a little shaky again and I hope it's not too bad so you can still see and hear how neat this creation has turned out.

Re-Growing My Blog ..

Hello my dear Friends,

my dear friend Vicki is hosting her amazing event 'Grow Your Blog' again this year and I am happy to say that I just made it for the final sign up date and I will be participating.

My reason for this is not only to find new blogs and followers or to re-find old followers but also to tell my story of what happened to Todolwen after I clicked that 'edit button'.

Changes Have Been Made Again To Todolwen ..

Hello my dear friends,

this is the post I had shared with you a few days ago ... 

..."I know that some of you have noticed that things are happening with Todolwen the past day or so.

The reason for this is that work is going on with Todolwen again and just in case you lose me again ... i.e. the follower gadget that you are using right now doesn't work anymore please try either Todolwen.ca or Todolwen.blogspot.com again! I am hoping that you will find me with either name.



This doesn't happen very often but my old blog name came up as available again and I am trying with a lot of help from the best, namely Karen Valentine, to hopefully get Todolwen back to where it was before I unfortunately clicked the edit button last November.

 

So ... please bare with me whilst all this is going on and just keep a look out for Todolwen. If you should lose me then just pop onto Facebook or Bloglovin' because I am there too. I hope things will go well and smooth. I will keep you up to date on this matter."

with the tremendous help of the wonderful Karen Valentine Todolwen.blogspot.com (new) is back as far as the name goes . You can now find me under Todolwen.ca or Todolwen.blogspot.com which makes me so happy! Unfortunately there is one little thing that can not be fixed and that is getting all my lovely followers back. I am hoping that this will come with a little time again.

And now I need to ask a favour from you out there in blogland ... any of you lovely bloggers out there that used to follow me before November 2013 on the 'old' Todolwen and any of you that have started to follow me under Todowlen.ca could you please start to follow me now under 'new' Todowlen.blogspot.com again? I know it's been a lot of back and forth and I am sorry for that (I can't believe how much damage clicking an edit button could cause!) but I would so love for all of you to follow me again.

(Gosh ... I hope I made sense then?!)

The last thing I would like to say today is 'Thank you' to all of you again for following me the first, the second time and now hopefully for the third time!

A huge 'Thank you' and many hugs go out to Karen Valentine for all her hard work helping me fix Todolwen and saving a part of my little heart from breaking.

Working On My Newest Nest Design ..

Hello my dear friends,

it is time I got myself together and organized again and started creating something new since I haven't made any nests for some time now, that is what I am working on right now.

I think I had mentioned some time ago that I wanted to create a 'Wynken, Blynken and Nod' nest and  after collecting wool from all over the world again ...
 

  

 

... some from China, some from the UK and some from Turkey and some from here in Canada and the US. I finally think I have the right amount of colors, types and textures now to be able to try and make this nest.

 

 

   

Even though I have just started the design, I am hoping to give it a little something special in the end. What that is? ... not quite sure yet. I have a few ideas though already. It might either be gold leaf covered eggs or leaves ... little golden stars hiding in between the fibres ... maybe both of them or something totally different. I will have to see what I can come up with and what I am happy with. Of course I will share the completed creation here with all you lovely bloggers again once done. When will that be?... I have no idea but it's a little reason for you to visit me here again at Todolwen
some time again which would be so nice!

Forgotten Treasures Now New Creations ..

Hello my dear friends,

it seems that I have fallen behind quite a bit with sharing so many things lately just like with these treasures.

 I had gone to a flea market on it's last opening day of last year and totally forgot to share my findings from there with you.
(I am sorry if some of my pictures are slightly blurry not sure why.)
 

 

Isn't this the neatest tiny sewing machine?!

 I placed a penny in front of it so you can get an idea of how small it actually is.

 

I also found some vintage little tart tins but I am not sure what I am going to do with them just yet. 

 

And also these two old cookie cutters,

 

When I saw these ...

 

... neat old things ...

 

 

... with their large handles ...

 

... that were like stands ...

 

 

... and this old tea strainer ...

 

 

... that almost looks like a little basket or even a nest ...

 

 

... I knew right away what they were going to be. 

All of them are now new creations of mine ... namely pincushions!

 

Here they are from old unused kitchen utensils to useful little sewing helpers and ...

 

 

 

 ... and the recipe for these creations ... a little drop cloth, some old lace and seam binding and finally a dash of some sparkly and done.

 

 I am really happy the way my newest pincushions have turned out and

once I have a little spare time the will find their way into my Etsy shop which will hopefully be in the next few days.

 

It was so nice of you to visit my here at Todolwen today and it would be lovely if you did so soon again and until then ...

Things Are Working Again .. For Now

Hello my dear friends,

yes, things are working for me again ... well, at least for now they are.

It wasn't a problem with blogger I think but with Internet Explorer 11.
It was an automatic update that was done to my lilac baby and it totally messed her up and then wouldn't let me work on Todolwen properly. I am inpatient at times so husband was so nice and helped me to fix things earlier. He had to uninstall IE11 and now I am ready to get going again.

 I have heard from a few other bloggers that they are having problems with blogger playing up today so it could be either the one or the other if any of you have issues with your blog.

 

And at last I will finally be sharing my newest creations with all you lovely bloggers tomorrow ... so do come and visit me if you have a few moments ... it would be so nice!

A New Problem ..

Hello my dear friends,

I am getting the feeling that I am just not meant to blog at this moment in time.

Now I have a new problem! ... Blogger won't let me upload photos to my posts!

I am not sure if any of you lovelies is having the same problem ...which is that I will upload a photo and it shows up in the new window but when  I click 'select'  nothing happens apart from blogger freezing on me and the only way to get out of it is to refresh the page and this is going on since early yesterday morning. This is so annoying!! I am sitting here with posts ready waiting for photos so I can share them you and I can't get it done. 

Is any of you lovely bloggers out there in blogland having this problem?

Hopefully I will be able to get this sorted very soon so do stop by once in a while to see if I am sharing again.
