At Last ... I Can Tell You ..

Hello my dear friends,

you have no idea how hard it is not to talk about something that you are over the moon about and very excited about too. I had to keep quiet and not share this for some time ... but at last now I can.

If you have read Vicki's latest post ~ 2 Bags Full ~ then you will know that she has designed a new nest for next year. And ....

... I am going to be a very tiny part of it!!

It all came about when I created my little 'Flutter~ bys' a several months back and Vicki approached me about them and long story told ... now they are going to be a part of her newest designer nest that will be created for a so worthy cause ... to help tiny babies in need.

I am not going to give anymore away, but you can pop over to Vicki's blog and read all about it.

But I will share a photo of the nest with you right now as a little preview.

(Photo property of  2 Bags Full)

I can only tell you right now how happy I am and touched and also honoured that I was picked to take part in this way of making a little difference in this world. Thank you Vicki, dear friend.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Sorry To Disappoint You .. My Last Spring Nest ..

Hello my dear friends,

I was planning on listing my last Spring nest in my Etsy shop tomorrow morning ...

... and I will, but it will now be a reserved item for my sweet friend Vicki from '2 Bags Full', who makes the most beautiful nests herself. She e-mailed me earlier today with her request of buying it before it was listed.

I am sorry to disappoint any of you lovely bloggers. I will check my studio in the next few days and see if I have everything I need to make a few more of my Spring nests within the next 4 weeks hopefully.

Once done I will let you know when they will be listed in my Etsy shop.
 Thank you for understanding.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

My Last Spring Nest ..

Hello my dear friends,

today I would like to share my last Spring nest. It is also my personal favourite one and the biggest one of the Spring nests I have made so far.

The first time I shared this nest with you it was together with all my other Spring nests in one photograph where it could only be seen was part of the group and not as a single beautiful creation.

I will be listing this last Spring nest early tomorrow morning in my Etsy shop for sale but here is a preview it is now...

Can you see why this is my favourite Spring nest now and it just might become yours too.

I am planning to make more Spring nest some time in the future. Yet again another item for my to~do list so I don't forget. My list is getting longer and longer with tutorials I have in mind to create for my Etsy shop and also my newest free tutorial that I am still working on and hopefully will finish soon.

When ever you have a spare moment ... do stop by again from time to time.

I hope you are well and life is treating you kind my dear friends.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Outdoor Spring Cleaning Has Begun..

Hello my dear friends,

at last ... Spring is here!
Finally the season has made it's appearance and I am so glad about it.

My trees are blooming with new leaves, ...

my plants are starting to grow ...

... and my flowers are already showing off all their colors and beauty.

Being given new energy by the suns rays I have already started my spring cleaning outdoors.

To the ducks dismay I emptied the water off the winter top cover of the pool  a few days ago and ... I can tell you it was yucky ...

... all green and messy and a bit smelly.
It took me about 6 hours but now it is done and everything is nice and clean again.

And believe it or not the ducks still come and stay in our garden every day. There might only be a little bit of fresh water on the winter cover but they still paddle and waddle on it as good as they can and use it as a drinking source as well.

I am still hoping they don't nest in our garden as much as I would love them to because another critter ... a raccoon has made it presents very known.

I am wondering if our little woven birdhouse might see little baby birds in it this year? I yes, I will try my best to get at least on photo to share with you.

I can't believe that the sunshine is making me want to do so much right now which I am so happy about. I wonder what are all you lovely bloggers up to these days?

It is always so nice when you stop to visit me here at Todolwen and I would love for you to stop by sometime soon again.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

New Listings In My Etsy Shop ... Pincushions

Hello my dear friends,

I just wanted to let you know that my 5 pincushions that I told you about yesterday are now listed in my Etsy shop.

They are some of my very first pincushions I created when I just started to blog and now it is time for someone else to enjoy them.

Each one of them is made with bits and pieces of vintage lace, linen, little pieces of tattered doilies, tea stained muslin and little vintage buttons and other embellishments and the base is a tarnished little drinking vessel ~ all mixed together just so neat and pretty.

If you have a spare moment why not pop over and take a look at them.

I hope you well and life is treating is treating kind.

Working On My Decluttering And More ..

Hello my dear friends,

I am over the moon that my nests were all sold in my Etsy shop and I am continuing on working on the 'decluttering' of my studio.

This time I am choosing which pincushions I am going to list in my Etsy shop but I am not quite ready yet  ~ a couple of them are some of my very first creations from a few years ago.

And here is a little preview ...

You are not seeing double ~ I did make two pincushion very alike.

I am aiming to have these pincushions listed in my Etsy shop very early tomorrow morning ~ so if you would like to see them in full ... pop over in the morning and take a peek. I am hoping to list more of my creations as my decluttering continues.

At the moment it seems that I have so many different things on my to~do list that my mind hasn't got any space for me to think of new ideas to create.

Apart from having to finally start a quilt for my daughter Caylagh's birthday, I am sewing curtains for my dining room and bed room. I completed my little cafe curtains for my kitchen yesterday and of course I am using drop cloth for them. (I will share a photo soon) I would also love to finally paint my bedroom and then there is my garden that still has one final project that needs doing ~ the riverbed. With all that said I am also working on a new free tutorial. It seems like I could go on and on and not stop but I will. As always I will try to share anything new with all you lovely bloggers.

So ... keep popping over from time to time and see what I have been up to!

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

My UK Mail Has Arrived ..

Hello my dear friends,

I can't believe that my UK mail has already arrived here in Canada ~ it was only 5 or so days ago ~ amazing!

Now I can let you see what I have won on eBay but I am still not going to give away too much right now. You see, it is just Spring time and this is going to be a Christmas time project ... hmm ... maybe Christmas in July? I will have to see how well I can contain myself.

And this is what arrived in the mail yesterday ...

... lots of very old Christmas tree tin candle clips.

They are all covered in decades of old dirt and pine needles. Luckily this is nothing that a bath in hot water won't fix without destroying the beauty of their age.

They are all different sizes, shapes and even colors.

Another tiny bit of information that I will share with you about my Christmas creation is ... it will still be a Christmas tree clip.
(It will make sense in the end ~ I promise!)

I am still on the lookout for more tattered and tarnished bits and pieces that I can use for my Christmas project at this moment in time and I am having so much fun doing so. I have already been to several church sales and oh my... I am so addicted to them and I have found a lot of beautiful treasures too ... but that is for another post that I will share with you soon.

I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.

Have a peaceful and creative day,

Karen B.
